Login not working

    Login screen stopped working. When I enter username and password, the screen just resets, no error message. I’m using 1.7.2 of plugin. Restoring a fresh copy of wordpress (4.2.7) seems to fix it but only temporarily. 24- 48 hours later, same thing happens. Cannot login using plugin but can if I got directly to wp-admin. Hosting company says I should try upgrading to WP 4.5 but is that compatible with your plugin and will that fix anything? Help please.

    Same problem on our site, using 1.7.2 plugin with latest WP 4.5.

    Hi all,

    Could you please update (re-save) the page/post which contains that shortcode? And also enable the Pretty Permalinks.

    Done, but the problem remains. I use the shortcode in a text widget.

    For example if I’m logged and then I click on “logout”, on the browser the link changes in: http://www.example-site.com/?action=logout but apart from that nothing happens and I’m still logged in.

    I’m sorry but Clean Login only supports the shortcode inside a page/post, that’s the problem.

    Oh ok, can’t you update the plugin in order to support also the widget?

    I don’t think so, it’s part of the plugin core. Unless you want to support the development, and it’s not easy. You could write us at contacto(at)codection(dot)com if you are interested.

    Does this plugin only work with Pretty Permalinks? At this point we really don’t want to change to any custom permalinks. We like the default permalinks (and don’t care much about SEO).

    Yes, since the get parameters are missing when you don’t use it. I’m sorry for that.
