Linktracking doesn’t work

    Hello

    On my site i have a lot of price tabels, i want to track the outgoing link, all of them are marked domainname.dk/linker/something.

    Everything seems to be working fine except that link tracking, unfortunately the site is in maintaince mode right now so i can’t link to it. – But do you have any ideas why it wont track my outgoing links?

    Hi there,
    So you’re using /linker/ as an external redirect (ala example.com/out/somesite redirects to a website that is associated by the somesite name)?
    If so, did you add /linker/ to the affiliate tracking section?

    Nope i didn’t sepcific add it anywhere, i checked the “track outgoing links and downloads”, and some of the other stuff. – Do you have some docs, so i can learn if i have to do something more?

    Hi there,
    We have documentation at https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/. We’re in the process of launching more and more docs in preparation for the Lite 6.0 release, so the pictures won’t look like the version you have installed if you’re using MonsterInsights’s Lite version until we release 6.0 for Lite users (Pro users already have it).

    Okay now i checked your docs, and I can’t find anyting about link tracking.

    As i stated earlier i checked the funcktion that it should track my outgoing links by making events in google analytics, but nothing happens. – and it is 7 days ago.

    Do you have any suggestions on what is going wrong?

    Hi there,
    If you’re using an external redirect, to send /linker/something to another website, you need to add /linker/ into the affiliate links section for it to be tracked as an external link. If you’ve done that already, if you could get in touch with us at monsterinsights.com/contact, we’d be happy to login and see what’s going on

    Thanks for your patience on this one! – Where is the affiliate section, right now i have the free version, do i need to buy something to get this feature?

    Hi there,
    In the lite version this setting is called “Set path for internal links to track as outbound links:” on the Advanced Section

    Arh i see, don’t know how i didnt see that function. However, it still dont work when i use mydomain/linker/something. However, it does work when i use a normal link to youtube or something like that.
