I was getting a fatal error message on my WordPress site while editing the backside and my host recommended that I begin disabling plugins. Turns out JetPack uses an enormous amount of memory. Do I need to disable this plugin or is there a way to minimize the memory used by Jetpack?

  • Hello, there.

Jetpack doesn’t usually overtax a site’s memory, and I see you’re using the free version, so we’re not running any backups or security scans to add to any system usage.

Did you or your host find any specific errors, logs, or clues as to why you believe that Jetpack is causing this memory issue? If so, and you could paste them here, we would be happy to help try and identify some problems within those.
