• Apologies if the answer to this question is already somewhere on here but I have searched and cannot find a answer.

I have a WP blog setup and working fine, I have setup JetPack etc and it is set to post to Facebook which is working fine, but the question I have is..

When publicize posts to my Facebook account, it just posts a link to the blog post and then a image, which seems to be physically post a image to my facebook account photos… when the photo is clicked, it opens as a photo on Facebook, not as a link back to the blog post.

Is there anyway this can be changed so the image does not go into my FB photos but is a link back to the blog post… example show below of how it posts… I think I need it to do what the share button does when posting to FB.

That’s indeed the way it works right now.

Facebook offers an API allowing Publicize to post “enhanced stories“, matching the type of post you’ve published on your site. If you published a short post with images, Publicize will consider it an image post, and upload an image to your Facebook Profile.

You can’t change that behaviour right now, but we might add that option in a future Jetpack release. You can follow our progress here:

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

Thank you for the reply, I thought that may have been the case.
I will get around it by posting a manual link to Facebook.
