Jetpack not connecting
-
HI!
We are using jetpack sharing feature for a long time. Recently we have created a subdomain using our main domain backup. After that we have noticed that our main domain jetpack is got disconnected with wordpress account. So I tried uninstalling it and reinstall it. Now I couldn’t able to connect to wordpress. xmplrpc is returning XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only. Please help us to fix this.
Thanks
Anitha

I share Anitha’s concern. I connected 3 out of 5 WP.org sites with JP to WP.com. The remaining two can’t be connected. All five use the same plugins and Themes.I checked with my hosting provider and they gave me the all clearance that nothing on their end is blocking the connection.
@anithac: Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

Hi Ryan!
http://www.reed-sensor.com/ this is our site url
Thanks for the link! While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:
https://www.reed-sensor.com/xmlrpc.phpThis file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only. You can see a working example here:
http://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.phpSince your site returns an error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:
1) Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP?
2) Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them?
3) Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.
Please let me know about the above, and we can go from there!
Hi Ryan
After making xmlrpc.php file accessible the issue is fixed. Thanks for your support.
I am glad to hear that the issue has been resolved! Please let me know if you ever have any questions, or if there’s anything that I can do to help.
Hello, I am having trouble with the jetpack plugin. Just downloaded it and I am trying to get it activated. I received this error (below). I contacted my host service, they stated there is no issue on their end… GoDaddy.
“Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://themillionairedude.com [HTTP 403]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.com/support/”
any quick fixes for this error?
@tmdude Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately I cannot access that file on your site at the moment:
https://themillionairedude.com/xmlrpc.phpIf you use a security plugin to block access to the file, you’ll need to configure it to allow incoming and outgoing connections to /xmlrpc.php.
If you do not use such plugin, you’ll want to contact GoDaddy again and ask them if they currently block access to your site’s XML-RPC file.
I hope this helps.
haw can i fix
This endpoint needs more permissions from the user.@fadikalil I would recommend that you get in touch with your hosting provider if you experience issues with the XML RPC file on your site. Only they will be able to help.
