Jetpack Identity Crisis & changed appearance

    To solve a Jetpack identity crisis, could turning Safe Mode off and re-establishing the connection to WordPress.com be responsible for changing the appearance of that website (themes, custom css, etc.)?

    No, deactivating Safe Mode should not change a site’s theme or custom CSS. When you deactivate Safe Mode, you allow the Jetpack plugin to reestablish a connection with WordPress.com. This impacts features that rely on this connection, such as Stats, Related Posts, Search, and more.
