I setup the jetpack of the site while it is under development, and now the site has launched. But when I tested the blog subscription feature, it shows the developing site URL “dreams.belizetest.com” instead of the right URL “www.belizeandreams.com”. I have tried to disconnect and re-connect the account, but it is still not fixed.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @ianhsieh,

I could replicate this by trying to subscribe to your site and seeing the development site URL in the email Jetpack sent me.

Can you please try toggling the subscriptions feature off and on? If that doesn’t fix the issue, please try reinstalling and reconnecting Jetpack.

Let us know how that goes.

I tried to turn the subscription feature off and one. Doesn’t fix it.
I then tried to reinstalled the plugin and reconnect, same thing.

It seems like that URL may be cached somewhere, as it’s not showing up anywhere on our side. There may be something else installed on the site that’s causing problems.

The best way to find out if something is interfering is to test for a theme or plugin conflict. You can do that by following these steps:

Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Jetpack, and clear your browser’s cache: https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#browser-cache

    – Then, try a test subscription again. If it shows the correct email address, then you know another plugin is conflicting here. You can reactivate plugins one by one, trying a test subscription after each one to discover which plugin is causing the problem.

If deactivating plugins doesn’t help, it may be your theme.

Temporarily activate a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One: https://wordpress.org/themes/twentytwentyone/

    – Then, try a test subscription again. If it shows the correct email address, then you know it’s a problem with the theme.

Let us know how that goes.

I have find some time to disable all plugin except the Jetpack, and then it is still doing the same thing. I tried to change to a default theme, but then the sidebar disappeared and I can’t test it.

    Hi @ianhsieh

Sorry for the delay in responding. Our development team is still investigating this.

Thanks for taking the time to disable the plugins.

    Hi there

It looks like the link is no longer displaying because you changed the message shown via Settings > Reading. Can you confirm?

Is it possible that the old incorrect link was being shown because it was included in the introduction text you set there?
