Hi @antanix,
I’m sorry to hear about the trouble, but thanks for reaching out and for the follow-up.
I did some tests on the current Jetpack connection (which is broken) and I can see some errors at my end. As a first step to figure what’s going on, can you reach out to your host and ask them if they have any blocks or limits on your XML-RPC.php file?
You want to check for any security/caching plugin you may have enabled, and try temporarily disable them, to see if it fixes the problem. You may also want to search for any firewall on your server-side that might be blocking the communication with the xmlrpc.php file.
It’s also worth checking whether any Jetpack IP addresses are blocked. The full IP range can be found at the bottom of this page:
https://jetpack.com/support/hosting-faq/
If you keep getting 500 error when trying to update Jetpack, please make sure that you’re running the last version of the WordPress core and PHP, then, try to increase the memory available to WordPress:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/
If none of this will work and you still have connection and plugin update issues, can you check your error logs to see what exactly is going wrong? Your host can help you find them if you need help.
Let me know what you turn up!
