@gouletd As a first step, I’d recommend fixing the XML-RPC file on the site. It is returning a 404 error, which is preventing Jetpack from connecting.
The XML-RPC file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

Since your site returns a 404 error for this page, I’d recommend checking the following:
- Can you see the xmlrpc.php file on your web host server? It should be in the same location as other WordPress files like wp-config.php. If you don’t see the xmlrpc.php file there, please try re-installing WordPress by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page and clicking the “Reinstall” button, or contact your web host.
- Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try deactivating them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
- Does your web host block access to this file? If you don’t find a plugin that may block access to the file, I would recommend contacting your host. If your host only offers XML-RPC access by allowlisting IP addresses, then they will need to allowlist the Jetpack IP addresses listed here:

DailyRazor has whitelisted the Jetpack IP addresses. I now receive a proper return to sending https://my-site/xmlrpc.php where I did not before the whitelisting.
I deactivated and deleted Jetpack, and installed the plugin again. Unfortunately, I still cannot make the connection to Jetpack/WordPress to complete the setup.
I don’t think this is a contributing issue since Jetpack has worked well until end of March, but the website is located in a subfolder of the website address. If you want specifics I can provide that via a secure means.
Another issue I just noticed. In the Dashboard, the information blocks cannot expand or be reduced using the arrow in the upper left of the box. I had a friend access the Dashboard for the site and he has the same experience.

The xmlrpc.php file is located in a subfolder (psricms) along with all the website files, where they have been for the last 15 years. When I send https://psri.us/psricms/xmlrpc.php I get thh reply XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.
I do not have any security plugins that would be blocking Jetpack.

Can you share the address of the clone site? I am thinking that Jetpack may be getting the URLs mixed up.
Once we have that, we can look into this more.

Yes, that did fix the problem. I can now connect and have added the site to my WordPress.com account.
