Since I updated JetPack to 3.1.1 I can’t activate it anymore.
If I try the following message is coming:

Warning: require_once(/home/content/44/11478644/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/44/11478644/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack.php on line 30

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/44/11478644/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5_3/lib/php’) in /home/content/44/11478644/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack.php on line 30

Besides Jetpack I have the following other plugins running:
    Akismet
    Justified Image Grid
    WordPress Database Backup
    Wordpress Popular Posts

I am using the Visual Theme.
Any idea what’s wrong or if I can go back to Jetpack 3.1.0

  • I am having the same problem with a different message.

    This is my error message:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare soundcloud_oembed_params_callback() (previously declared in /home/content/p3nexnas05_data01/06/2180906/html/wp-content/themes/bazar/core/functions-core.php:1514) in /home/content/p3nexnas05_data01/06/2180906/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes/soundcloud.php on line 159

I tried going back to version 3.1 but I received the same error message.

Hi, did you ever find a solution to the fatal error on line 30 of Jetpack. I have the same problem and I can’t seem to find a solution. Cheers

@johannes314 It seems I missed that thread 2 months ago. Sorry about that.

Deleting the plugin, and then reinstalling from scratch should fix that problem since it seems that the update didn’t complete properly, and some of the files are missing.

@kellyhunt Could you give that a try as well?

@honeybunsclothdiapers Sorry for the very late reply, you most likely solved that problem by now. If you still need help, you’ll want to have a look at your theme: it seems it includes a copy of the Soundcloud shortcode code included in Jetpack. You should be able to remove the Soundcloud functions from your theme, and you will then be able to activate Jetpack.

    I hope this helps.
