This website is under construction but I disabled “Coming Soon” for this purpose.

Background: Jetpack → Settings → Discussion on your Dashboard and switch on “Let readers use WordPress.com, Twitter, Facebook, or Google accounts to comment.“

Note: I have this option turned off right now. When I turn it on, 2 problems occur.
    1. I have the URL field in COMMENTS turned off on purpose to avoid spammers for entering their URL’s.

When I TURN ON this (Jetpack) option, the WEBSITE URL field appears even though I have it turned off as you can see. I need a way to TURN THIS OFF when the Jetpack option is enabled.

    2. My subscription Check Box & LINE disappear “Sign me up for the Hugs Newsletter & Blog communications!” when I TURN ON this (Jetpack) option. This is a MailChimp subscription option for subscripting users from the COMMENTS page provided by: MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress Version 4.8.3 | By ibericode plugin.

Can you please provide solutions for both of these issues?

    Thanks,
    wpallweb

    Hey @wpallweb,

Since Jetpack comments run in an iframe, you’ll likely need to modify the plugin using custom PHP via a functionality plugin (rather than using simple CSS). Per our Scope of Support, it wouldn’t be something we could assist you with.

Again, per our Scope of Support, we’re not able to advise on ensuring compatibility with other plugins. I’d recommend reaching out to the MailChimp plugin’s team to see if they’re able to advise.

    Thanks!
