    The “One of your internal links uses your keyword as link text. That link can compete with this post in search — change the link text to something else” gets detected on any post I make with an internal link. They never share the same keyword. Link for example – The Flash is the internal link. The spelling that is dragging all trustseo scores down is using such a basic dictionary, it misses every single proper name, not to mention all kinds of common words.

    The competing links check doesn’t compare your link text literally. It matches the anchor text against your focus keyphrase plus its word forms and any synonyms, so plurals and stems count, and it only looks at links pointing back to your own site. If “The Flash” shares nothing with the keyphrase on that post, it’s misfiring. Post the focus keyphrase from one of those posts next to that anchor text and I’ll try to reproduce it.

    On the spelling, common words being flagged isn’t normal and I don’t want to hand you a workaround for something that may be a fault. A screenshot of the Spelling section showing the words it’s marking would tell me a lot. Two things worth checking alongside it: what your Site Language is set to under Settings → General, because English defaults to US spelling and British or Australian spellings get flagged against it, and whether you ever saw a “Spell Checker Dictionary Download Failed” notice, which would mean the dictionary never fully installed.

    Proper names are a separate matter. Character and brand names genuinely aren’t in the dictionary, and Manage Dictionary in that same Spelling panel adds them site-wide so they stop being flagged everywhere. That’s the answer for names, not for ordinary words.
