@wibu: I see what you mean, that does look good! I think that if the bar is colored (like you suggested), it looks best as a solid bar (like you have tried), and not 3 disconnected ones (like I have)!
The blue one is so … blog. I’d go with the simple one but make it look better (more solid bars, make it more editorial I guess).

OK, to anyone interested I have made my decision. I stuck with the third theme that I brought into the mix. I consider it a hybrid of the first two. It’s simple like the first one (actually, simpler with only a tiny tiny .gif). But at the same time it’s way more styled so it looks more like a blog and less like just a white page with some text on it.
I’m still going to use my current theme for a while while I “perfect” the new one: work on validation issues, fix minor details, and check compatibility with all browsers!
But, in the meantime, any thoughts?

I like com250, but the white vertical bar in the middle seems out of place. Other than that, beautiful. 🙂
hmm, the white vertical bar is there to separate the content from the sidebar.. its not necessary at all, so I’ll play around with taking it out!
