    Hello Jason!

After testing out for a while I’ve found out that if I disable the IPv6 Compatibility in Cloudflare, the IPs get restored and shown as the common/traditional IPs, as well as the Country (with Cloudflare active the country icon is not showing any flag but an image icon and hovering on it says Unknown).

Any chance or way Slimstat could be more compatible with Cloudflare in the future?
Or maybe there is some configuration guide for Cloudflare to not overwrite Slimstat’s functionality?

    Please let me know.
    Thanks!

EDIT: One more thing, I forgot. Hitting the infosniper button opens infosniper.net in a new window instead of a lightbox, any idea why?

    Not really 🙁

Actually I just realised that by using the “Preload Cache” option of WP-Rocket Slimstat instantly stops recording analytics.

Any clue why and do you think this can be fixed?
Because Caching Preloading is really great and helpful and makes every site loads fast.

Sorry for the so many questions, I’m trying to help with my way for Slimstat 🙂

It sounds like the “Preload Cache” interferes with the tracker. You may want to ask the WP-Rocket developers for a solution.

    Best,
    Jason

    I will.
But can you check too, since you said you use WP-Rocket as well?

I did. And it doesn’t interfere in our case.

Ok well.. I’ll see what I can do.
    Thanks Jason 🙂

Thanks, though I meant the configuration on Cloudflare.com

Oh, we don’t touch that. It indeed seems to affect the script.

Can you please explain a bit further how it affects it?

And what do you mean by “we don’t touch that”?

If you are referring to the setting “Prefetching URLs From HTTP Headers” in Cloudflare, other users have reported that it minimizes (and thus breaks) our tracker. Our plan does not have this option anyway, that’s why we CAN’T enable (touch) it.

    Thanks for the reply Jason!

I’m referring to your Cloudflare settigns in general with using WP Rocket, for example their Speed/Caching/Firewall/PageRules/etc. tabs.

I’m using their free plan also, so I can’t touch “Prefetching URLs From HTTP Headers” too.

Also, setting their “IPv6 Compatibility” to Off seems to restore the original IP and not show the IPv6 and also show the correct info on Slimstat (like the country flag), but I’m not sure if I should keep that option to Off.

    What do you think?

It depends on what’s the percentage of visitors using IPv6 you have. In our case it’s about 5% of the total, so that’s fine for us, but your mileage may vary.

Ok, but what happens for those who use IPv6, what’s the downside?
