    Hello Jason!

After testing out for a while I’ve found out that if I disable the IPv6 Compatibility in Cloudflare, the IPs get restored and shown as the common/traditional IPs, as well as the Country (with Cloudflare active the country icon is not showing any flag but an image icon and hovering on it says Unknown).

Any chance or way Slimstat could be more compatible with Cloudflare in the future?
Or maybe there is some configuration guide for Cloudflare to not overwrite Slimstat’s functionality?

    Please let me know.
    Thanks!

EDIT: One more thing, I forgot. Hitting the infosniper button opens infosniper.net in a new window instead of a lightbox, any idea why?

    Hi,

Slimstat already reads Cloudflare HTTP headers, we recently added this feature given the widespread popularity of that tool. Not sure why the IPv6 Compatibility Mode affects it, though. We’ll do a little more research and see if we can implement a solution for that.

As for infosniper, what version of Slimstat are you using?

    Best,
    Jason

    Thanks for the reply.

I’m using the latest Slimstat version, 4.6.4.

It might be because of a conflict with another plugin.

I tried this with only Slimstat active.
If you find anything about this Cloudflare issue in the future, please keep me posted.

This is quite strange. Do you have AdBlock enabled or something that might be preventing the javascript files in the admin from loading as expected? We asked some of our beta testers and nobody is reporting any issues on this.

    Best,
    Jason.

Are you talking about the Cloudflare or Infosniper issue?

I’m not using any adblock software anyway.

Sure, let me just investigate it a bit further and I will contact you again.

But were you talking about Cloudflare or about Infosniper before?

EDIT: I’m also having trouble displaying the stats whenever I activate a caching plugin (tried WP-Rocket and WP Fastest Cache). I put the Tracker mode in Client.
The stats just show for a little while and then don’t update anymore. Also, refreshing the same cached page does not show up in the stats too.
    Any way to fix this?

I was talking about Infosniper. As for WP-Rocket, we use it on our main site, and everything seems to be working as expected. Please make sure to clear the cache every time you update Slimstat, as the URL to the tracker on the CDN contains the version number, and it changes every time.

    Best,
    Jason

That’s strange because I can’t see any activity when a caching plugin is On.
Do you think it may have to do with having both Cloudflare & WP Rocket enabled?

    Are using the Slimstat CDN?

    Yes.

Try deactivating that feature and see what happens.

Seems to be working better that way.
    Tested it with Firefox/Chrome/Opera/Edge.

However, Firefox is the only browser that is not tracked at all for some reason!

EDIT: Also mobile devices are not tracked, if I enable caching for mobile devices too.

I figured out what was wrong with Firefox. I had Ublock Origin enabled.

That’s the problem with Client Mode, it does not record statistics if someone has an adblocker, much like Google Analytics.

That’s why I wanted to use Server Mode but have a caching plugin also.
