    Hello,

I am very new to website design/management. I am using WordPress.org and Siteground to run my site. I feel this should be obvious, but as I create pages I’d like the URLs to relate to the domain I bought – they do not. Instead I get URLs/permalinks (what’s the difference?) that are an IP address and then some text that pertains to the specific page. It looks very unprofessional, I’ve never seen ANY website like this! How do I get “www.mydomain.com/about” instead of “12.345.678.910/~sitegroundusername/about/” Have people dealt with this before?

What other information can I supply to best help you help me? Thanks in advance, the learning curve has been brutal.
