I’m creating a website that is primarily an artist portfolio and contains many images and galleries. On any pages with galleries, it says I have no internal links, which isn’t true. On the ‘Pages’ dashboard, it even lists how many internal links I have.

Is there a way to optimize my image galleries to work well with Yoast? I’d be fine adding text, if there was a way to include text boxes inside the gallery so they’re in line with the images, but I haven’t figured anything like that out.

    I am using:
    Theme: Astra Pro:
    Site Builder: Elementor Pro
    Galleries: Justified Image Grid

I’m also having some weird issues with the meta description of my WooCommerce Store. I typed in a meta description through Yoast and Google keeps pulling parts from it and parts from the actual site so it’s a jumble of random sentences instead of just what I posted for the meta description. I’m only noticing this on WooCommerce related pages. Is there any way to fix this?

    Thanks 🙂

  • Hi,

You identified several issues. We have responded to them below.

    1. Image Galleries
Yoast is not compatible with every pagebuilder plugin or theme like Elementor. If the plugin/theme has added the right code for Yoast to hook into, Yoast is expected to then scan those modules and output the right analysis.

We are not familiar with that plugin/theme so we are not sure if they have added the right code. We suggest contacting the plugin’s/theme’s authors and asking them if they have included the right code in all the modules for Yoast to scan. This guide explains more and includes links to the code they need to have: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder/.

If they have added the right code for Yoast to hook into, let us know.

In the meantime, please know that even though Yoast is showing warnings as long as you know you have added the right content like internal links, images, etc., so will Google. Google will still be able to scan the source code of the page.

    2. meta description of my WooCommerce Store.
We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v11.7? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. Can you provide a link that highlights the issue?
