When editing or making a page the Insert Shortcode button above the content box no longer does anything when clicked. When I hover over it the curser changes to a hand but nothing happens when clicked. Of course I can still add shortcode manually but the insert function that opens the settings dialogue box is handy. Any ideas how to get this function back? thanks

I found the problem – it was caused by a conflict with plugin WordPress SEO version 1.7.1 by Yoast. Now I have to decide which of the two plugins is more important to me…

I have this exact problem. This is such a ridiculous conflict. Any of developers willing to comment on a fix?

I posted in on Github for the Yoast team but they don’t seem too bothered by it… The WordPress SEO plugin also causes the WP text editor toolbar to disappear so it’s definitely one for the Yoast Team to fix – they haven’t released a free SEO plugin update that’s compatible with WP 4.1 yet. I wonder if they plan to or just want everyone to buy the pro version now. I decided to stick with Shortcodes for now and deactivate Yoast’s SEO plugin.
