  • @odedta thanks for the topic and screenshot.

    1) Could you provide your Site URL?

    2) Under Site Kit > Settings > Search Console > Edit, does the property listed match the property for the site in Search Console exactly?

    3) Could you provide your Site Health Information here or through this form? It has Site Kit specific details about the Search Console connection that may help.

@odedta Many thanks for providing the additional information. While differing results may be attributed to the methods used to obtain the reports (similar to this GitHub issue) can you inform me whether the results you are encountering are vastly different across all date ranges?

    Hello James,
I have made another check as requested and it seems that Search Console data is different from what the plugin and Google Analytics shows on all dates ranges, I don’t understand where this difference is coming from since the property name is exactly the same name as the url of the website.

The Analytics data is exactly the same on Google Analytics and the plugin analytics page, it’s just search console that is inconsistent.

@odedta Thanks for the update. I’ve checked with the team and the issue referenced in the GitHub issue shouldn’t impact your Search Console data.

In order to investigate this further would it be possible for you to share your Site Health information, along with the variations you see of your domain name within Search Console when accessing this link?

If you prefer to share privately you can use this form.

@odedta Many thanks. I’ve create the following GitHub issue for this support topic:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/1635

Let me know if you’re ok for me to list your site URL and Site Kit related site health info in that GitHub. I’ll keep you posted here with any updates.

    Hey,
If you feel this is required to help the team solve the problem please share it.
Thank you very much for helping out!

@odedta Many thanks for your patience on this. We’ve looked into this further and it’s unfortunately something we’re unable to address on the plugin side, with the Search Console API used outputting final data only, with the web interface displaying more fresh data. Having said that the differences are not usually significant, in your case you may have had a large portion or spike in traffic not accounted for just yet when captured using the API.

You can find more details information within the related GitHub issue.

Thanks also for bringing this to our attention, I’m sure it will be useful for others going forward.
