I use this category as a kind of homepage on some menus on AMP:
    the5krunner.com/category/news,review/

this category will have many thousands of hits/views in real world usage.

categories are not shown in WordPress stats

Q: How can I include categories in WordPress stats

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @the5krunner

Are these new pages? It looks like the stats code is present on the pages, but that they haven’t collected enough visits yet to register.

    hi
no they’re not new categories. i can see they’re cranking up the views/hits on google analytics as i write (and have been for months)

I use that URL as a menu link and i discovered a convoluted way to make it the amp home page on mobile (this forces a better homepage on mobile on my theme)

I’m not even sure if WordPress counts categories as hits/views – this suggests they should be counted https://wordpress.com/support/stats/

    Hi there

Categories are tracked in WordPress.com sites, but currently not in Jetpack-connected sites I’m afraid.

We have an open enhancement request for this here: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/12968

I’ve added your request there, and you can follow that issue for updates, but we don’t have any immediate plans to add this for Jetpack sites.
