Haven’t noticed that until now, will have to check the importing procedure. Will have to wait until i got some news. Thank you for the notice again.
I am trying to produce your error but had no luck till now.
In a file encoded with utf without BOM i put the following line:
Cécile,2014-12-11,test@email.com,
and it worked. I read that the fputcsv function is affected by the locale setting. In my system the locale is C, please go to file class-birthdays-widget-settings.php in line 614 (if you have vesrion 1.6.5) and please add the following code:
echo setlocale(LC_ALL, 0);
then go to the import page and paste here the outcome.
The outcome is “C”, just like you… but still won’t load accents.
This is the result :
1 Loan 24/04/2000
2 Joffrey 20/04/1998
3 Virginie 15/03/1968
4 Catherine 31/10/1970
5 Paul 15/05/1965
6 M 09/12/1999 //instead of Mélissa
7 Meyline 06/09/1997
8 L 21/06/2000 //instead of Léo
9 Magali 19/11/1969
10 Jules 15/05/2004
11 Emmylou 13/04/2000
12 Elsa 27/05/1982
13 Lou 06/11/2003
14 S 17/12/1971 //instead of Sébastien
15 Simon 17/12/1988
…
Can you provide your file and info such as php version etc to yury{@}codescar{.}eu ??
It was an encoding issue. To all users: Please when importing use a file encoded in UTF-8 without BOM.
