images stored location

Hello guys,

1. Where does the images from user profile and covers stored in? are they located in wp media library? the reason I am asking this is because I will be able to offload pictures from server if they are only located in wp media library to a cloud provider
2. As I understood in the free version users cannot upload images or avatars as profile pictures, can you confirm this?
