Images missing on tiled galleries/504 error

    I’m using rectangular tiled galleries on a web site and sometimes some images in the gallery don’t load.

    In console (Chrome) I get this error for those images:-

    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 504 (Gateway Timeout) http://i1.wp.com/zimsculpt.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/ostrich_792_ril.jpg?resize=239%2C420

    Usually a page reload (sometimes 2 or 3 reloads) and the images load as expected.

    Are there any known problems with photon/tiled galleries and/or is there anything I can do to prevent this?

    I do have the same issue but reloading doesn’t change anything, the same images won’t load… I also notice that I don’t have the option in media-settings stating that “Display your galleries in a mosaic of images.” and don’t have any option to choose between square, rectangular or so…

    Hi Mark,

    I wasn’t able to reproduce this on your site, every image always loaded fine. If you had problems, it may be because your site was slow on uploading the images to the Photon service, but it seems to be ok now. If this continues to happen, let me know.

    Thanks Richard. The problem did seem to resolve itself after a couple of days or so and I haven’t had any reports of missing images since.
