• Suddenly this morning, I can’t upload a Featured Image to my Divi web site post. Anyone has a suggestion for the fix?

You mentioned Divi – that’s a commercial theme that we can’t support here in the forum. Does the image upload fail even under “Media” without Divi at all? If so, what error message do you see? And are there any issues listed under Tools > Site Health?

I tried the same efforts as you describe. Like your experience, none of them worked. It is certainly not a single image uploaded problem. The problem occurs for any new image upload.

@riclager An answer to this would be helpful:

Feel free to share a screenshot of what you’re seeing: https://wordpress.org/support/forum-user-guide/block-editor/#adding-screenshots

    I don’t understand your question. I can’t upload a Featured Image.

And what do you see? What’s happening? Any error messages?

And please check under Tools > Site Health to see if there are any messages there.

Since the problem is happening with new images rather than just one particular file, I would first check whether the upload also fails outside the Divi editor.

Try Media → Add New and upload the same image there. If it fails, please note the exact error message shown by WordPress. Also check Tools → Site Health → Status for any critical issues or warnings related to the server, filesystem, or REST API.

If images upload normally through Media but fail only when selecting a Featured Image in Divi, then the issue is more likely related to Divi or a plugin conflict.

Without the actual error message, it would be difficult to identify the specific cause. A screenshot of the failed upload/error would also help narrow it down.

This information is very helpful. Thank you. I was able to successfully upload the same .png file usint the Media—Add New funtion.

I could not find a REST API error on Site Health.

How can I provide you a screen shot of the error message?

I just tried to upload the same image as I did yesterday. The issue seems to be resolved.
