Krishna,
I don’t intend to be mean, but I’m getting very frustrated, for it seems that you are not reading my notes, which comes across as you are not paying any attention.
In my very first note, I wrote, “I have changed the theme to Twenty Ten, Twenty Eleven and Twenty Twelve. I have disabled all plugins; currently I have no plugins enabled.”
So, I took the steps you recommend about a month ago. I have switched to the Twenty Twelve theme and I have on plugins loaded. I do not find the image editing button.
So what more do I need to do to figure this out?
Yes, I have read what all you wrote. The problem stems from the fact that you reply after a month and many things have changed since then including the introduction of WP 3.6.
BTW, do you still get the same error message that you had a month ago that shows that your WordPress folders/files have problems.
So Krishna, can you please tell me exactly what those error messages showed? Which files are having problems? What are the problems? Something with the php?
Yes, php (WordPress) files. Please go through the error report. If you still get them, that means you have not followed my suggestions to install WordPress manually.
Better still, as you now run an older version of WordPress, update WordPress to the latest version 3.6.

brkrusty? I’ve deleted your rant, would you dial it down?
These are 100% volunteer support forums. Krishna is trying to help you on his own time. You are not “owed” a response or support and Krishna is not the one who needs to have this solved, you are.
You getting frustrated and venting at a moderator isn’t going to help you.
But Firefox’s builtin web console shows the following
As those are Firefox browser errors you’ve got a couple of options.
– Have you tried using a completely different PC to edit images? This step is just to see if your problem is located on your browser or PC.
Have you tried any of the usual troubleshooting steps on your WordPress installation?
– Temporarily switch to the Twenty Twelve theme
– Deactivate all of your plugins. No exceptions, all of them
– Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
– Re-login and try to edit images
Let me know how that goes.
I have cleared the cache and cookies, logged out and logged back in, and I still cannot edit images.

What I was suggesting is that you clear the cookies and cache after you once again switch to the Twenty Twelve theme and deactivate all of your plugins.
Yes, this is all a little repetitive but I wanted to confirm that step; it’s just a process of elimination step.
It may not be necessary though, do you have another PC to try on? The reason I’m asking that is I want to also eliminate your PC and/or browser as the issue. This is also a process of elimination step.
A third option (just to try) is to make a copy of your wp-config.php file for safe keeping and then add this line near the top of your wp-config.php file.
define( 'CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Disable_Javascript_Concatenation
Then once again clear your browser’s cache and cookies and try again.
Please make sure that you have that file backed up, if something goes wrong editing wise then you can restore that unedited copy.
What I’m trying to walk you through is all eliminating items one at a time to try and find out why this is happening to you. I’m hoping that one of these will get image editing working for you. Once that’s identified then hopefully a solution can be found too.
At this point, I do not have another computer to try to edit on.
I added the concatenate_scripts line and that did not fix the problem.

I’m out of ideas at the moment but it may help to see if your web server is reporting any errors when you attempt to edit an image. Depending on how your web server is configured .that file may be named error_log. Your host may be able to assist you with that.
It would be really good if when you edited an image you saw an accompanying error on the web server but that’s really a long shot I think.
