Image Caption

After updating to the latest version of AIOSEO, I noticed a significant issue with how post content is being handled. Specifically:

• Image captions no longer display properly. The formatting looks broken compared to how it appeared before the update.
• HTML tags and shortcodes inside the content (or meta descriptions) are now being output as plain text, rather than being rendered or processed.

It seems that the plugin is either stripping tags or not applying the proper content filters (the_content) anymore. Before the update, everything was working as expected. And when I deactivate the AIOSEO – Image SEO extension, everything works as before.

Could you please clarify if there were changes to how AIOSEO handles or filters post content, especially for meta descriptions, schema, or Open Graph content?

Also, is there a recommended way to preserve the correct rendering of:

• Captions using the [caption] shortcode or <figcaption>
• Shortcodes or inline HTML in excerpts or descriptions?

Please let me know if there’s a filter or workaround to revert to the previous behavior, or if a fix will be included in a future release.
