    Hello
I have a few links on the page which should open in an iframe lightbox.
I added the class=”fancy-box-iframe” to those links but they do not open inside a lightbox, they open in a new tab.
I checked the checkbox “iFrames” on the media settings page.
For testing, I added an image on the top and it does open in a lightbox.
Do you have any idea why the iFrames are not working?

    Thanks in advance!
    Dan

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Dan, which link are you talking about? The Google.com link? That site does not allow itself to be embedded in an iframe… Try another site 🙂

    Hi,
    Thanks for replying,
The list on the right should also open in lightbox.
I can update the google url to a different one to see if it works.

    Dan

The links on the right open up in FancyBox for me just fine. I’m on the Chrome browser…

Try logging out (of both WordPress and Mad Mimi) and test again. Or maybe you are using a browser plugin?

    Thanks,
It seems to be working now, no idea why it didn’t work earlier…
what did you mean by “plugin browser”?

    Thanks!
    Dan

a browser plugin that would force every link to open up in a new tab for example could theoretically cause such behavior… but as it’s working now, it was probably the cache then 🙂

    oh, true.
    no plugin like that here.
    Thanks for your support!

I think I figured out what is happening.
When I am logged in to wp-admin the fancybox does not work
Only when logging out it does work.
Have you had any experience with this sort of bug?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Do you get any errors in your browser console?

    1. Log in
    2. Go back to the front page of your site
    3. Hit F12 to open your browser developer tools
    4. Open the Console tab
    5. Click the Newsletter Center link in your site menu and notice the messages and errors in the console tab

Are there any that involve either the fancybox.js script or jQuery?

I can see a few errors that show up when logged in regarding “madmimi” – which is the newsletter platform from which we are displaying the links to the different newsletters:

But don’t really know how this is impacting lightbox.

    Dan

Indeed, hard to say. Can you log out and do the same test with the light box working? See which errors have gone or changed might tell us more…
