How can we change the date format?

    Hello,

    The date format is displaying in format DD/MM/YYYY

    We would like to have it display in MM/DD/YYYY

    How can we change the date formatting?

    Please advise.

    Hi SooBahkDo, currently this is not possible but I am refactoring a bit of code now so that it scales much better for future updates.

    In the next update, I’ll see to include that also.

    Hello Igor,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I am very impressed with your plugin.

    We tried a similar raffle plugin from WPEKA and even our developer could never get it to work exactly right.

    We activated your plugin and everything worked as expected on the first go. 🙂

    I would also ask in a future update you consider adding some entry management features to make it even better.

    For example,

    1) add feature for site admin to delete entries (in the event spammers get in) otherwise automatic selection of winners could be compromised due to spam entries.

    2) add feature to be able to email registrants from WP dashboard. we use SendGrid transactional email service and Newsletter plugin as well as

    3) the captcha currently displays below the email and ENTER BUTTON which is a bit confusing to users. It is not clear if they should they click ENTER and THEN check the captcha or if they should check the captcha box and then click enter???? Perhaps positioning the captcha box above the email entry field, (rather than below it) would help make it clear about the sequence expected of the user.

    4) the ability to set the date display format to the user’s preference will be an excellent addition. 🙂

    QUESTION: Is there any research that indicates if displaying the qty of entries to the users encourages or discourages them to enter? It would seem that if the user could see how many others have entered the drawing, then when the qty is small they might be encouraged to enter since only a few other have.

    For larger traffic sites with larger qty of entrants perhaps displaying the qty of entries TODAY would keep the displayed qty or registrants displayed small and help encourage users to enter the drawing. ?????

    Very good features I must say. The refactoring is somewhere at 50%.

    This other features that you have mentioned could be done in minor releases in the next few weeks/months.

    The feature no. 3 is actually something I have noticed and thought of it myself. I have already changed the position of them and they will come in the next update.

    The feature no. 4 is also something I have worked on it now. It will use the date formatting set in Settings > General.

    I am not aware of any researches that do indicate such results with quantities, but that could be also be added as an option to show/hide.

    2.0.0 has the templates refactored so that the captcha form is displayed before the button. There is also a widget which you can use in sidebars. This widget will then sign up the user and redirect it to the giveaway page.

    Hi @soobahkdo, sorry for a late response. Yes, that formatting should be available in 2.0. Can you tell if it is?
