Hiding Conversations Behind the Pro Plan

Hiding Conversations Behind the Pro Plan
I was genuinely disappointed to discover that in the new update of the plugin viewing AI conversations with customers is now locked behind the Pro subscription. I completely understand that premium features are part of a sustainable business model, and I have no issue with paid plans. However, the ability to review messages that the AI sends on my behalf feels like a fundamental feature rather than a premium one.Without access to conversation history, there is no way to verify whether the AI is providing accurate information, giving appropriate advice, or responding as intended. If something goes wrong, users have no visibility into what was actually sent to their customers.
The free plan is already limited to 100 AI responses, which is a reasonable limitation for evaluating the plugin. Unfortunately, removing conversation history on top of that makes the free version very difficult to evaluate in any meaningful way. Previous versions allowed users to review AI replies, making it possible to supervise and improve the assistant’s performance. Removing that capability feels like a step backward.
Planning to Test the Plugin?
If you’re considering trying the free version before deciding whether to upgrade, be aware of this limitation. While the AI can still respond to customers, you won’t be able to see what it actually said. That makes it difficult to assess response quality, accuracy, or whether the plugin is suitable for your business.
Accountability Matters
This also raises an important question about accountability. If the AI provides incorrect, misleading, or potentially harmful information, how is the site owner supposed to identify and correct the problem if they cannot review the conversation? For any AI customer support tool, transparency is essential. Monitoring AI responses isn’t just a convenience—it’s a core part of using the software responsibly. In my opinion, if conversation history is reserved exclusively for the Pro version, the free version no longer provides enough functionality for users to properly test or confidently use the plugin.
