Hello!
You can either use the ecs_event_list_details filter to customize how the date/time outputs, or you can do something like this to add spans around the time (which you can then hide with a bit of CSS like .tecs_time { display: none; }):

Alternatively the pro version has a ‘compact’ view which includes the date but not the time.
Hello thanks for the quick reply.
Where do I add the css? In the event itself there is a start and an end time both in their own field.
Do you know how I can show an address?
many thanks
There’s a few places you can add any CSS for the [ecs-list-events] shortcode, such as in the style.css of your child theme, or under Appearance > Customize in your WordPress admin (under ‘Additional CSS’).
As for the address, you can use the venue option:
https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/events-calendar-shortcode-pro-options/#venue
I see what you mean now. This is such a great tip!
Any chance you can tell me how to add the year after the start and end date?
ie May 1, 17′ – Mar 3, 17′
You can tweak the output in the code in the blog post I mentioned before:
https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/change-color-style-time-events-calendar-shortcode/
Or, the shortcode uses tribe’s tribe_events_event_schedule_details function, so if you change the date format for The Events Calendar it will also change in the shortcode. Under Events > Settings then the Display tab the “Date without year” setting should do the trick!
