Hi @umbrossino95! I understand you’re having some issues with guest checkout. I’m seeing some errors on the page when I look at the browser’s JavaScript console, which could explain why things aren’t working.
It looks like this error might be coming from your theme. Could you try switching to a default theme like Twenty Twenty and see if the issue still happens?
If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend full conflict testing. This involves disabling plugins and your theme, so it may be easier to do this on a staging site, which is a duplicate site used for testing purposes. If you don’t have a staging site handy, you can use the WP Staging plugin to easily create one.
Then, either on the staging site or your live site:
1. Deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce.
2. Switch your theme to a default one like Twenty Twenty.
3. Retest the issue.
If you’re not seeing the same problem with the site in this barebones setup, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which one is causing the problem, reactivate them one by one, testing after each, until the issue resurfaces.
Let us know how that goes or if you have any further questions!
Hi @austin M – A11n, first of all I wanted to thank you for the answer, I wanted to ask you if there can be any problems from the moment I change the theme in Twenty? will the pages stay? will only the UI change right?
Thanks so much!
Hi, @umbrossino95!
While conflict testing and switching themes normally don’t cause any issues, it’s always a good idea to first create a full backup of your site before doing it. One way you can do that is by using Jetpack Backup.
To be on the safe side too, you can run the test on a staging site as Austin previously mentioned. Of course, you’ll also want to make sure the same issue is happening on the staging site for testing on it to be effective.
Alternatively, you may also want to consider using a plugin like Health Check for the conflict test on your live site. It has a troubleshooting mode where only you as the admin will see any changes made to the site so visitors are not affected. If you’re interested, we have a more in-depth guide on using that plugin here: Troubleshooting using Health Check.
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
