Google: “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’”

    HI,

    In google Search console I am getting a bunch of errors stating “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’”, however, all these links were set up to be indexed in Yoast.

    These links are WooCommerce product attributes, and in the Yoast Taxonomy page, I set that specific global attribute to SHOW in search results.

    I viewed the page source of one of the links, and I indeed saw a noindex tag there.

    I tried clearing all my caches, but that didn’t help.

    Any idea of how to remove this noindex tag?

    I see in HTML source (outside Yoast SEO section):

<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

    So, it’s added by other plugin. You should to install plugin Health Check & Troubleshooting (which could deactivate plugins “only” for the administrator without affecting regular visitors) and while are you logged check HTML source. More details – How To Check For Plugin Conflicts.

    When you identify which plugin “sets noindex” (and wrong canonical) then we can try to find some workaround.

    Other minor issue is WooCommerce because it sets “noindex” for my-account, cart and checkout pages. More details and workaround – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/woocommerce-cart-and-account-page-in-sitemap/.
