Hello. I created a product feed for google shopping, but google still reports that I am missing a lot of metadata. Upon closer inspection with the help of an AI, I determined that my feed is missing the google namespace declaration in the header.

    I created using these settings.

    • Country: United States
    • Channel: Google Shopping
    • Include product variations: Yes
    • File format: XML
    • Refresh Daily
    • All other options off

I recreated a new feed for troubleshooting purposes with the same settings, and also removed and reinstalled the plugin and updated the feeds, and still the feed does not have the correct namespace declarations.

Using version 13.4.7. Thanks in advance

    Hi @jkolodziej ,

Can you please provide more information on what you mean by Name Space Declaration? If you mean the xmlns: g=”………” version xxx then we do support this and it’s showing on your feed XML file.

Yes, apologies. I had to view page source to see it there, as it didn’t appear in the normal reader. That said, the plugin was completely missing the “brand” field, and malforming the “availability” field, where google expected “in_stock” and the plugin was reporting “instock”. I tried a number of rules and even scripting to correct it, but I never could. I’m a single person small business so after spending too much time on this I switched to another plugin which did not have any of these difficulties.
