Plugin Support

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and for the kind words about the plugin. We appreciate it.
In the current free version, rates are requested using the default package dimensions set in the shipping method’s Package Settings, together with the cart weight, rather than the dimensions of each product. This means the plugin can’t tell when an item, such as a 1500 mm box, is too large for Australia Post, and a rate may still be shown.
Here’s how you can keep oversized items out of Australia Post quotes:
- Group your oversized products. Assign them to a dedicated WooCommerce shipping class, for example “Oversized”.
- Hide Australia Post for that class. Set up a condition that removes the Australia Post Live Rates method from checkout whenever a product from that shipping class is in the cart. You can do this with our Conditional Shipping Methods plugin or another conditional shipping tool.
- Offer an alternative for those orders. This could be a flat rate, a freight or courier option, or a “Contact us for a shipping quote” method. This way customers are never charged an Australia Post rate for a parcel you can’t send.
It’s also worth keeping the default package dimensions in the method settings close to the box you use most often. That keeps the quotes for your standard orders as accurate as possible.
I’ve passed your feedback to our development team as a feature request.
Best regards,
