For the past week, whenever anyone enters the right Captcha, I get an error saying Could Not Open Socket on wp-comments.php.
I’ve temporarily had to disable the plugin.
Entering the wrong captacha takes them to the comments section of the article as always but the right one results in a Socket error.
    My blog is http://bestpedia.in
The plugin is disabled, but I will reactivate it if asked to.

Does entering the wrong captcha show a captcha error? Everything was working correctly before?

Can you navigate to BWP recapt >> General Settings >> reCAPTCHA settings and then change “request method” to “cURL” or “file_get_contents” ?

Hi, I have renabled the plugin.
With the request method set to auto, I tried to enter a wrong captcha, it gave me a Socket error this time.
I changed the Request method to cURL and file_get_contents and both times I got the Socket error.

Note. I changed the settings just now to use the nocaptcha recaptcha instead.
The request method is still file_get_contents.

I tried commenting and when I clicked on I’m not a Robot, and submit, it took some time but then opened the article with ?cerror=invalid-json#respond appended to it. The error above the nocaptch box now reads:
Unknown error (invalid-json). Please contact an administrator for more info.

Can you try changing the Request method back to Auto and then use it with the nocaptcha recaptcha?

Hi, it is currently set to Auto, and nocaptcha has been enabled.

The error message I’m getting is “Unknown error (invalid-request). Please contact an administrator for more info.”

OK one last thing to try is to set Request method to cURL. If that doesn’t work, please contact me via http://betterwp.net/contact/ . Thanks.

Hi, I’ve set the request method to cURL with nocaptcha as the default.
I haven’t tested it out yet. Will have a look as soon as I get time.
