Full screen “cover page”

    Hi,

    I’m looking to create a screen before entering my website such as http://www.forbes.com have on their website. I do not know how this is called.

    So it has to be a full screen message (without header and footer etc.) with a button to continue to the website. is there a plugin for this? I have no experience in coding.

    @niekfranken, Forbes seems to be using an overlay on its home page. There are some plugins that implement pop-ups and pop overs like that–I think…. I just paised and searched the repository and this seems popular: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popup/

    You have an option of using a static front page with a template that doesn’t include your banner, but you seem shy to touch a little of what’s under the bonnet.

    I’ve tried several splash page plugins and pop up/overs. Eventually used pop-up maker, works perfect.
