Hi:
WordPress 4.9 changed the way some color pickers worked. I assume you’re using the latest version of Awesome Support? If not, please make sure you upgrade. Then, lets make sure that all old version of color pickers are uncached from your browser by clearing your browser cache complete.
Finally, can you switch your theme to the 2016/2017 theme and turn off all other plugins temporarily? This will make sure that there are no older color picker Javascript loading and conflicting.
Once we are sure that the custom status plugin colors are working we can turn everything else back on.
Thanks.
Yes, I’m using the latest version of both WordPress 4.9.1 and Awesome Support 4.3.4. I also tried this with a fresh WordPress with no plugins. I still have the same problem. I would think this is a backend problem with WordPress not anything with the theme itself. But I did try to change out and the problem is still there.
Hi:
The latest version of Awesome Support is 4.3.5. This is the one that contains the colorpicker fix. Can you try to refresh your Awesome Support to see if it pulls 4.3.5?
Thanks.
Hello,
I updated both sites with the latest version 4.3.5. The Custom Status plugin is still not able to select the color.
Hi:
Did you clear the browser caches after upgrading? That would make sure that the old java scripts weren’t cached in them.
Thanks.
I found the problem. It’s the method that I used to install WordPress using EasyEngine. Sorry for the trouble.
Great, thanks for letting us know.
