• Hi all,

Our site is still in development. As it stands we are running on a temporary domain until we are happy and move our services over. I am sure I have tried submitting forminator forms prior and I have reiceved the submissions in my selected notification email. You can enter the details on the form and the acceptance message shows but the email is never recieved.

We are on a temporary domain no SMPT or anything setup yet.

    Hi @thomasmorrison ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

Please note that Forminator uses wp_mail(), so it depends mostly on how your site is currently sending emails.

In certain cases, depending on your Hosting, it’s possible that you actually need to send SMTP in order to allow the site to send emails, but could you please install this plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/

Then, please try to submit the form again; that other plugin should show a log for the email send attempt and will show the error if there is one.

In case the issue is with SMTP, try to set a temporary SMTP to your site in order to allow it to send emails.

Please let us know how it goes.
    Best Regards,
    Williams Valerio

    Hi @wpmudevsupport3

I have installed WP Mail Logging and tried to resend an email. I get the confirmation on the form that the email has been sent and in WP Mail Logging it shows no error.

I do not have WP_Mail installed but then I would expect this to throw an error?

    Hello @thomasmorrison,

I hope things are going well for you.

Can you please run one more test to narrow it down and see whether this affects only Forminator or the entire WordPress site?

https://example.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword – Please replace the example.com with the actual domain name where the form is located. Because this https://earnest-red-mockingbird.149-255-58-3.cpanel.site/ site isn’t working for us.

The page will open a WordPress Password reset; enter your email and click “Get New Password.” If you receive the email, the issue is related to the Forminator form configuration. If not, you need to configure SMTP or contact your hosting support. Please share the results with us.

    Kind Regards,
    Imran Khan
