Forminator not saving submissions
-
Evaluating Forminator – after a Submit we are not seeing any submissions recorded. Not showing in the dashboard plugin nor directly in the database table wp_frmt_form_entry.

Hello @mshragesnetnet,
I hope you’re doing great today!
There’s an option to store submissions, which can be disabled/enabled per form. Could you please make sure it’s enabled in your form settings: https://prnt.sc/Kb4XLr9ada8r
I hope this helps. Please let us know if the issue persists even with that option enabled.
Best Regards,
DmytroThe option was and is enabled – that is the reason I have posted the support request.
Hello @mshragesnetnet
In this case, the issue might be related to your database, if something is broken in formaintor table, it won’t be able to save the data into database.
To find more information, I would recommend enabling the WordPress debug mode and checking the logs, if you would not mind please share them here using a third-party free storage like Google Drive.

AminShowing only the log produced from the page with the Forminator shortcode on it.

I’m afraid that error does not say to much about what is going on with Forminator. Can you let us know do you see submissions recorded if you create a new form, and if this is only related to 1 of your forms?

KrisThat was a new form created after the plugin install, but I will create a new one for testing. No other forms have been tried since this testing. Will try some of the others.
Just tested the contact form which seems to work. A message appeared at the top of the page, which was NOT happening with the first form and I am seeing a submission in the plugins dashboard submissions page.
After going back to the plugin, we had no other forms previously defined.
OK – just made a couple of changes to the form – the main one being that the email notification address may not have been a valid email anymore. I replaced it with my current email and the page now showed the expected “Bocce record saved” message at the top and a submission was recorded.
It appears that a failed email send attempt is a completely silent error condition that blocks the submission recording process. I highly recommended that the failure to send an email is not silent AND does NOT block the recording of the submission.
Hi @mshragesnetnet,
the main one being that the email notification address may not have been a valid email anymore
Could you please provide more clarification on this, as I wasn’t able to replicate the issue on a test website at my end?
An email notification cannot be set up without entering a recipient’s email address. To test the behavior, I entered an invalid email address. Even with that, the form submission went through successfully, and the entry was saved in the database. Could you please share more details on how the email notification has been configured on your end? This will help us review the setup more closely and better understand the issue.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Best Regards,
Nebu JohnI believe there was an Admin email and a save and continue email. The Admin email was set to a now deleted gmail address, after changing it to my normal email address I use everyday, the form submissions seemed to function. I don’t recall any other changes although I may have made some others. I was changing things just to see if SOMETHING would fix the form submissions recording problem.
I may have added the partial save form data feature and that after which the form submissions recording problem was fixed. I didn’t step through the changes one at a time, which I should have done.
Hello @mshragesnetnet,
I hope things are going well for you.
I’ve conducted further tests, such as creating a sample form, adding an invalid email in the admin email notification, and enabling the save and draft feature. Still, I was unable to replicate the issue as described in the information you’ve shared here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/forminator-not-saving-submissions/#post-18624212.
I am glad you started receiving submissions, so it seems this form might have a configuration issue. I also performed additional checks, such as turning off email SMTP, which prevents emails from being sent when the form is submitted. However, I still see submissions stored on the submission page and in the database.
Please share any further steps or ideas for replication so we can try to reproduce the issue.
