[Feedback] A better dark mode

    Hi, I hope you are well.
    I’m looking for a better modern admin WordPress theme that support also dark mode.
    Your plugin looks nice except this point on my point of view:

    • Not very nice be prompted to accept terms and conditions and privacy policy for who use the plugin from the WordPress store and without an account. If an account was required I for sure immediately delete the plugin. I dont like plugin that force account. Show the need to accept terms, conditions and privacy mean a lot of time must be spent to read carefully why you ask to accept privacy policy. That can let me think that I need to understand if the plugin record, share in some way data so let me feel not safe. Usually when I install plugins from WordPress store I dont have to accept some kind of particular privacy policies or terms.
    • Dark mode should be improved as is not present in the user profile interface, in the editor while creating or editing a page or a post and even in the System Health page of WordPress. Even in the plugin page there are some parts that seems not fully dark and modernized.

    For the rest looks an amazing admin theme for WordPress project.
    Currently I will not use it because of the terms and privacy that I need evaluate better and for the issues with the Dark Mode. I’m looking for a solution that made the WordPress Admin fully Dark mode compatibile. With WordPress 7.0 this has been broken as many plugin that are present on the WordPress plugin store now has the editor are no more covered by the dark mode and I really dont like this.

    Amazing plugin but I thought about to share my finding while testing your nice admin theme plugin 🙂

    Also opening a details about a plugin is showing the plugin description not using the dark mode.

    Thank you, unfortunately also the latest version get frozen in customize.php if the Hestia theme is active.
    I’m unable to find errors on the developer console.

    To reproduce install Hestia theme and activate it then on WordPress try to go on customize to customize the theme and the page will not load.

    Other smallest issue is during the setup, setup the logo miss the favicon setup. I try to setup after and I miss even the custom logo so this seems an issue with the Wizard that should let customize also fav icon then check the logo chosen on the setup wizard is saved and used.

    The rest seems work nicely.

    Will be nice also be able to customize the footer.

    Currently the biggest issue is not able to going on theme customize with Hestia theme active.

    Also on customize.php the dark mode is not working is all white 😁 🤩 if Hestia theme is in use. The page is very, very slow to load or fail and dark mode is not working here.

    Dark mode active but is not working here. Also as told it takes very long time to load this page. Some issue is present 😊

    Thanks for the report and the detailed explanation.

    We were able to reproduce the issue and have already fixed it. The problem was related to compatibility between the WordPress Customizer and certain theme/admin styles (including Hestia), which affected dark mode rendering and caused slower loading behavior inside customize.php.

    We have also released the new YOOAdmin 1.5.6 update which includes this fix.

    We also noticed that the YOOAdmin toolbar is still appearing inside customize.php.

    Unfortunately the 1.5.6 update was already released before we caught this, but the toolbar visibility issue will be removed and improved in the next update as well.

    Now my feedback are: Issue can be on performance and on Dark Mode if you use for example the plugin Code Snippets the dark mode cause little problems. It show not very well the page with active or unactive switches and there is issues on text selecting. When a snipped code is written and selected the selection is not visible.

    The Code Snippets dark mode compatibility issues you reported have now been improved in YOOAdmin 1.5.7, including better support for code editor selection visibility, toggle states, token fields, and classic plugin admin pages inside adaptive dark mode.

    We also made several broader improvements to the adaptive dark mode engine across classic WordPress admin screens and third-party plugins.

    Since the remaining feedback is now being discussed in your newer thread, I’m marking this topic as resolved so we can continue tracking future improvements there more cleanly.
