    Hi @therealmiked!

It looks like the card was published when the images were hosted on the same domain, and now that they’re offloaded to the image cdn, the published srcset is inaccurate. Browsers try to use the most appropriately-sized image available and don’t have a way to fallback if they 404.

I’ve just released Create 2.6.5, which regenerates the srcset on render, so it should never end up with 404ing images again.

Please let me know if the update does not resolve the issue!

    Thanks,
    JM

    @jmlallier,

Thanks so much for the quick response. The admin pages bug is resolved (thanks!), but it looks like this one is persisting. I tried a few things to try to convince it to update:

    • Editing the image
    • Choosing a different image for the card, saving, then going back to the original image.
    • Moving the image from Cloudflare R2 to the local server, and then back
    • Clearing the site cache (using WP-Optimize)
    • Viewing the post both in the browser where I am logged in (which should bypass the cache) and in an Incognito window

After all these, the page is pretty much right back where it was before. The srcset is still trying to use files from the origin server, which do not exist there. The image might appear to be correct temporarily, but I believe this is because Cloudflare has the images in ints edge cache now. They will expire before too long and stop appearing. I can assure you from looking at the directory listing on the server that the files aren’t there.

The different size image files do exist on Cloudflare R2, but the paths are slightly different than where the srcset property is looking for them on the origin server. For example:

    Origin URL in srcset: https://blog.yourdaily.health/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/cooked-red-lentil-stew-1-150×150.png

    R2 URL: https://media.blog.yourdaily.health/2023/10/cooked-red-lentil-stew-1-150×150.png

Note that the R2 path omits “/wp-content/uploads”.

    Thanks for your help!

@therealmiked Ah, interesting. 🤔 Sorry that didn’t work! I think I have a workaround that could solve the issue, but I’d rather not deploy a new release with what is essentially an educated guess.

Would you mind emailing support@create.studio? I can then send you an updated version Create with the intended fix so we can verify it works before releasing it broadly.

    Thanks!

The updated version has resolved the issue and will be in the next release.
