When I try to activate the plugin, I get the message “fatal error” could not be activated.
I tested it on a site with native theme and without any plugin.

This is a very strange behaviour! Can you share a screenshot of the error please?
Also what are you server settings (PHP version etc.)?

I’m using localhost (on Xampp)
Current PHP version: 7.2.1

Could not activate plugin because it generated a fatal error

Hi @thaishoe,

Please raise up your Maximum Execution Time limit to (i.e.) 120s and try again to activate SportsPress.
