FAQ toggle not working / opening in new window

Hi

Firstly, I love your plugin! It’s perfect and does exactly what I want. I use it on my business website, and have just purchased it for a personal one as well, however I can’t get the toggle to work. I’m sure it must be a simple setting, because it was working at one point then stopped. Could it have something to do with having activated the trial version?

I need them to open the faqs in accordion fashion on the same page, not open in a new window. When I load a default theme, they do seem to do this, but still redirect to a new window. Could you please help me figure it out?

Hi nekkas,

It shouldn’t have anything to do with the trial version being activated. Do you have “FAQ Toggle” set to “Yes” in the “Basic” area of the “Settings” tab?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I do have them set to “Yes” in the Basic area of Settings. I am now using the Licensed version so that’s not made any difference. Not sure what’s up.

Hi Nekkas,

As you already have “FAQ Toggle” set to “Yes” , here’s a few more things you can try (as it appears you have some JS console errors related to your theme):

1) Make sure your plugins and theme are all up to date
2) Try deactivating all plugins except for UFAQ then reactivate one by one
3) If the issue is still occurring after this, try briefly switching to another theme (such as WordPress’ “Twenty Seventeen” theme).

I am having exactly the same issue on my page at http://www.illuminis.co.uk/faq/

I bought the plugin as the demo looks perfect for our needs.

I have traced it to the Salient theme I’m using, the toggle works fine if I change the theme. How can I find out what’s breaking it?

Hi there,

I’m having the same issue. The accordion toggle on the FAQ’s is currently not working. Whenever I press the ‘+’ button, it takes me to a new page, rather than toggling. Any idea what the issue could be?

We are also using Salient and having this issue (the toggle opens up to a new page and says 404 not found). Is there any solution for this?

I am also having this issue. When I click either the + symbol or the FAQ link it takes me to a new page but the whole reason I downloaded this plugin is to have it accordian on the same page. It WAS working and now is not working anymore.

My FAQ Toggle settings are set to YES…I’ve even tried a bunch of different settings to see if anything would help. Please advise so I can see if I can continue to use this plugin.

Hi Jennifer,

If you have toggle set to yes, and it isn’t working, that means something else is conflicting. You have a lot of elements on that page. What happens if you put the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode on a new page by itself? Does it function then? Also, are you using any kind of page builder or visual composer? If so, if you disable it for that new page and then add the shortcode in the regular WordPress editor, does it work?

Hello

I’m having issues with opening the FAQ in a new tab and toggling the question and answers. I’m using Thrive Themes and have a page designed with it where I’m using WordPress Content tool of Thrive themes where [ultimate-faqs] is pasted. The FAQs does load correctly but cannot be toggled.

Is there a quick solution to the issues I’m facing?

1) Can you send us the URL of your UFAQ page?

2) If you try switching to another theme (for example WordPress’ “Twenty Seventeen” theme), does that make any difference?

3) Is the “WordPress Content tool of Thrive themes” a page builder? If so, if you disable it and paste the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode in a blank page, does anything show then?
