  • Yes the post title is used already, also the content and category.
Could you show us an example of a bad recommendation?

    Thanks!

Thank you Rok for your quick reply!

That’s great! I thought it only depends on tags.
Actually not bad recommendations but some times less related posts are shown before the more related posts. Is there a specific criteria used in ordering the related posts? (high relevancy to low, new to old..etc?)

    Thank you again

    Hi,

it’s relevance only. Tags are scored 10 points, categories 5 and tags that we generate from title and text are scored 2 points.

We’re always trying to improve the plugin so it would be very helpful if you’d give us a few examples where you think that recommendations could be better.

    Thanks,
    Jure

    Hi jureham,

I’m working on a local wordpress for test before running the plugin on the live site but to give you examples:

1- I took a large article about one subject and divided it into 4 posts, the 4 posts are very similar in content. On viewing each post, other posts that are less related appears before the really related ones.

2- I added an Arabic post (BTW does your plugin support Arabic?). Anyway, when viewing this lonely Arabic post on the site, English posts that are not related at all to it appear in the related posts. Note: I added the Arabic post in a different category so the other posts that appeared are not related to it even in category.

I think that the tags which are generated from the title & text should weigh more than 2, it’s more important that category.

I hope to get a reply for the Arabic part & hope for continuous enhancements because it’s really a good plugin.

    Thank you

Mmmm…Still didn’t get an answer for the Arabic support! I need to know this so I can decide to keep using it or trying other plugins or even trying to know how it could be modified to add Arabic support..

I’m still using it on a test site but I will put this site online soon so it’s important to know if it supports Arabic since most of the content will be Arabic.

    Thanks

Thanks a lot for this fabulous support! No answer for a simple question from 3 weeks!!!!!!

    I’m so sorry,

I wanted to test the plugin with Arabic language myself before answering the question, but I forgot about it both times.

I found a couple of blogs using our plugin with Persian language but non with Arabic.

I guess it will work, but I can’t give you any guaranties.

About your earlier questions. If the plugin can’t find enough related posts it will use random posts. Maybe this is what happened with the lonely Arabic post.

    Best, Jure

    Don’t worry, thanks for replying.

I was looking too for other Arabic sites that use this plugin but didn’t find any…I’ll use it on my site which I’ll put live soon and see how it goes..

    Aha.. Okay, that’s good.

If you find anything new relating the Arabic support, please let me know.

    Thank you again
