Hi guys! I want to use contextly in my blog to link to related products with affiliate links (external websites). To do that, I want to add my links manually.
I see that you can add links manually by clicking “Choose Related Posts” in the Contextly section while editing my post. It just doesn’t work. Even though I add the my aff links correctly, some other posts from my blog still show up. Am I doing something wrong?
I hope it was clear enough.
The related section only includes internal links to your own content.
Links that point outside your site can be displayed, but we put those in a different section, which you’ll need to turn on in the control panel.
For display reasons, you’ll need to switch to either the “Chrome” or “Text” display and then turn on the “Web” section. The links offsite you add will show up in that section, and you can then turn off “Related” if you only want those external links.
Thanks a lot! You got yourself 5 stars and a review to your plugin =)
I have one more question though. Is there a way to import these links directly to the database? I have something like 150 posts where I want to include this kind of links and one by one would be too tedious.
