Could you give us a little more detail about the issue? Firstly, about the error message that you are getting, is it being displayed in the spreadsheet or in the admin page.
Also, do you remember doing any of the following activities before this feature stopped working:
– installing/activating any new plugins.
– updating the existing plugins.
– Changing themes.
Also, has anyone on your server changed the version PHP you were using previously.
It might be a conflict with any of the activities mentioned above that the export feature stopped working. Please check for any other changes that you might have made before the export feature stopped working that might be causing this conflict.

The error is being displayed in the browser. A new page loads in which the message is displayed.
Yes I had just updated several plugins. However, since the last time I successfully did an export to excel I have done several plugin updates and word press updates as well as new plugin installations so its hard to say which one may be affecting it.
I have not changed any themes or version of PHP.
The error is quite vague so its hard to troubleshoot. Do you have any steps you could suggest I take to narrow down the issue?

In terms of trouble shooting, step one would be disabling plugins one by one and seeing if the export works after each is disabled.
