Excluding admin visits?

    Just looking through the tracking settings. Does this plugin automatically exclude site admins from the stats by default? I edit pages daily and tbh don’t want my own clicks inflating the data. Lmk how u handle this.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Yes, by default MonsterInsights doesn’t track logged-in Administrators or Editors, specifically so your own page edits and clicks don’t skew your stats.

    If you’d like to confirm this or exclude any additional user roles, you can head to Insights » Settings » Advanced, and in the Permissions box you’ll find the “Exclude These User Roles From Tracking” option. Administrator and Editor are already selected there by default. If you decide to test your tracking is working, you’ll want to view your site logged out or in a private/incognito window.
