Just saw this in the FAQ:
Can I use other eWAY gateways, outside of Australia?
Not yet. There are plans to integrate eWAY’s Rapid Payments API sometime in 2013, so check back in a while.
As it’s now 2016, it would be great to know where this currently stands.

Amazing how time passes. I’ve just this year upgraded my Gravity Forms eWAY add-on to support the Rapid API, which allows it to be used for all eWAY accounts. I haven’t upgraded this plugin for Rapid API yet, but it’s on the cards for this side of July.
WooThemes have an add-on for eWAY that supports Rapid API right now:
