Events use %postname% versus permalink custom structure

Event permalinks default to “<url>/event/%postname%” versus using the wordpress custom structure settings. Under Settings->Permalinks I have set a custom structure of “/%post_id%/”, however, new Events continue to use “%postname%”.

Native posts use the custom structure correctly.
