I’m trying to enable related posts. But when it goes to sync, it gives this error:

    SELF:
Operation timed out after 30001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

I contacted my host and they said this error was logged:

Apr 7 08:32:51 staus118.wsynth.net col www: PHP Notice: Undefined index: results in /var/www/cocreationcoaching.org/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-sync.php on line 1013

I don’t think I have any plugins that would block this. Why might this be happening?

Okay with more testing it seems to be when it is running all the tests.

    It is trying this URL:

    https://jetpack.wordpress.com/jetpack.testsite/1/?url=http://cocreationcoaching.org/xmlrpc.php

And the test passes when I go to the URL myself, but it takes a while, so I think it is timing out.

How can I fix this? Why is it taking so long to run that test? Perhaps I can increase the timeout somehow? It’s only giving 30 seconds, but not sure where to change it.

I had a look at your site, and although the Related Posts are now properly displayed, I still see some connection issues.

Could you check this post and make sure you’ve completed the first 3 steps?

Once you’ve done so, could you try to disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com to reset you connection? You can disconnect your site from WordPress.com thanks to the link appearing at the bottom of the Jetpack menu.

Let me know when it’s done, and I’ll take another look.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I have now done all of the above. Are there still errors?

Thanks for giving that a try.

I don’t see any issues with your connection at the moment. You should be all set!

If you continue to experience issues with one of the modules in the future, do not hesitate to post again here!
